Our business is based on the principles of our founders and advisory team, who take a pragmatic, experienced, and innovative approach to the most challenging hurdles in the energy sector. We work as collaborators and problem solvers. Adamas is structured to be nimble and capitalize on high-yield opportunities across the energy sector. Each of these industry segments contributes to our core asset management business.
Adamas focuses on distributed-scale power generation. This refers to power production in the large commercial and small utility spaces, or generally 1-50 MW of capacity. Power plants at this scale are normally on-site, or in relatively close proximity to the point of usage. Generating power on-site or from nearby resources, rather than from distant utility-scale power plants, eliminates the cost, complexity, interdependencies, and inefficiencies associated with transmission. Like distributed computing or distributed-scale power generation gives users and utilities greater control and flexibility. Historically, distributed power meant dirty and unstable diesel generators; Adamas invests in proven clean energy power producing facilities which produce safe, cost-effective power. Generally, distributed-scale power can be built in faster time periods and closer to choke points where it is most needed. Nevertheless, this segment represents an underfunded segment in the energy market.
Adamas partners with leading energy providers to provide our partners competitive retail power solutions in deregulated markets in the United States. Adamas provides competitively priced electricity to small and mid–size businesses as well as National Accounts and Government and Institutional customers. Adamas is an expert in understanding complex requirements, tailoring products and services to be both compliant and innovative to match customer needs on a market-by-market basis.
